Veterans America Supports the 18th Annual Big Unit Poker Run

18th Annual Big Unit Poker Run

At Veterans America, our mission is to stand by those who have served and their families. That's why we are incredibly proud to announce our sponsorship of the 18th Annual Big Unit Poker Run, an event that perfectly embodies the spirit of community support and gratitude. This powerful fundraiser is dedicated to benefiting the Big Unit Foundation and Fisher House Wisconsin, two organizations that make a profound difference in the lives of our military community.

Pre-Register For Event

Every dollar raised at this event stays right here in Wisconsin, directly helping our veterans, military members, first responders, and their families. This commitment to local impact is a core value we share. The funds will support Fisher House Wisconsin, a truly invaluable non-profit that provides a "home away from home" for military and veteran families. By offering free lodging, Fisher House ensures that families can be close to their loved ones during challenging times of medical care at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center, alleviating a significant financial and emotional burden.

The poker run itself is a fantastic day of scenery, camaraderie, and purpose. This year's event, taking place on Sunday, August 31, 2025, is set to be one of the biggest yet. The forecast calls for 84° and sunny skies, creating the perfect riding weather. The ride will begin in style at the Harley-Davidson Museum, where a police escort will lead the group out, ensuring a safe and memorable start.

Participants will enjoy a day on the road, collecting playing cards at various stops along the route. The goal is to build the best poker hand for a chance to win prizes at the end of the run. As a bonus, everyone who pre-registers will be entered to win an incredible Ibanez electric guitar autographed by famous musicians from Disturbed, Jackyl, Counts 77, and actor Robert Patrick from Terminator 2.

We invite everyone to join us for this meaningful event. Whether you ride a motorcycle or not, your support helps us make a tangible difference in the lives of those who have given so much. Let's come together to ride for those who serve and show them how strong our community truly is.

Let's make this the biggest and best one yet!
